This commit fixes "286f377389a button-hotplug: add KEY_SETUP and KEY_VENDOR
handling" which changed the code without bumping the PKG_RELEASE, resulting in
different binaries under the same version.

The SUBDIRS variable has been removed in kernel 5.4, and was deprecated
since the beginnig of kernel git history in favour of M or KBUILD_EXTMOD.

The build system already defines KERNEL_CROSS which defaults to TARGET_CROSS.
Make use of this variable for kernel makefiles.
