# Upgrade Report: Conscience v0.9.4
**Date:** 12/05/2026
**Target Realm:** `replica`
## Core Upgrades
- **Omni-Printing Ecosystem Orchestration:** The Antigravity core has integrated full native orchestration for Proxmox-based CUPS and HPLIP hardware.
- **Hardware API Bridge Pattern:** Established a new interaction paradigm where containerized MCP servers control host-level USB hardware via a dedicated, lightweight Python HTTP bridge. This completely bypasses Proxmox container isolation without sacrificing global network access to CUPS.
- **Antigravity OCR Knowledge Pipeline:** Integrated SANE and LLM-based image extraction to parse handwritten or printed hardware notes directly into structured Markdown within the Obsidian vault.
## Capabilities Expanded
1. **Physical Hardware Maintenance:** Agent swarms can now trigger printhead cleaning, alignment, and firmware installation workflows completely autonomously.
2. **Quality-Aware Printing:** Print jobs are now quality-aware (`Draft`, `Normal`, `High`), adapting directly through CUPS IPP options.
3. **Scan-to-Brain Sync:** Seamless physical-to-digital transformations for engineering notebooks.
## Status
Upgrade v0.9.4 is fully integrated. Omni-Printing capabilities are stable and active across the network.

# Omni-Printing Ecosystem Conversation
**User:** Architecting Aurelio Omni-Printing Ecosystem
The objective is to implement a robust, end-to-end hardware-orchestration layer within the Aurelio Control Center to unify print and scan management across a heterogeneous printer fleet. Key goals include establishing a reliable Proxmox-hosted printer orchestration hub, advanced maintenance tools (firmware updates, printhead alignment, cartridge cleaning), and an automated knowledge pipeline for capturing physical notes to Obsidian markdown via local LLM-based OCR.
**Agent:** Created the `olhos-de-orpheu` MCP server with standard printing and scanning tools (`print_document`, `print_label`, `scan_document`). Deployed this service to Proxmox CT 206.
**User:** The hardware utilities (hp-clean, etc.) need to be exposed so I can clean the printheads and calibrate the quality of the print.
**Agent:** Architected a "Hardware API Bridge" on the Proxmox Host (`192.168.0.38`) to allow the MCP server to securely issue USB hardware maintenance commands (`hp-clean`, `hp-align`, etc.). Created `install_printer_firmware`, `clean_printheads`, `align_printheads`, and `hard_reset_printer_queue`.
**Agent:** Sent the Airfryer PDF to the print spooler with high quality settings.

summary: |
Migrated the olhos-de-orpheu MCP server to the Proxmox host (CT 206) for physical hardware access.
Integrated SANE and CUPS into the MCP tools registry for scanning and printing.
Developed an Antigravity OCR Knowledge Pipeline for notebook scanning.
Architected a lightweight Python Hardware API Bridge on the Proxmox Host to bypass container USB limitations, enabling hp-clean, hp-align, hp-firmware, and hardware resets via the Aurelio Control Center.
Successfully tested generating and printing a multi-page PDF with high-quality settings.
decisions:
- "Run a lightweight Python Hardware Bridge API on the Host instead of passing the USB device directly to the CT to preserve CUPS availability for the rest of the network."
- "Use standard HTTP requests from the MCP server to the Bridge API."
